Always looking for off leash parks when traveling with our Goldendoodle.

Located on Pine St

Parking for the dog park is on Pine St with access going east from Fern Ave. A good size park, mostly grass and my Goldendoodle was actively exploring scents. The fence is about 3 feet high. It is wheelchair accessible to the entrance gate, then too rough to get inside.

Decent large park but left side seems more popular

Satellite map view showed dog parks to the right of entry but other arrivals after we were in the large dog park went to the left. No photos posted as it's a too lengthy process without a drag & drop feature.

Major changes since last visit, still a great park but not for disabled

Much improved well mowed grass park but likely not in the same location. Use GPS 41.70499, -93.05261 to find it past the childrens play set at the end of N 7th Ave E. The large dog park is huge with nicely trimmed trees so a dog cannot easily get out of sight. The entrance area was muddy. The small dog park was further from the parking area, not as large but good sized.

Great people & dogs

This park is hard to find. Use GPS N:40.70792, W:089.62021 for the large dog area where parking is limited. Small dogs were in the mix and people were welcoming. It's a very large area with little shade and good grass in mid September. The small dog area can be seen below as exiting on the paved road 180 degrees from the large dog entry. Downgrade 1 bone for the poop left around. Our dog picked up some soft burrs that we cleaned at home.
15May24 update - no burrs. Water is available outside the entry gate but bring your own dog bowl.

Faded signage, issues for disabled people

After finding it across RR tracks, signage for the small dog area is barely OK and the walk to shaded seating was OK for one with limited walking ability. Signage for the large dog area was not reasonably readable, the area was visible beyond the small dog area, and appeared to be 3/4 fenced. Closer study indicates the large dog area includes the area under the interstate highway and the walk to shaded seating seems to be well over 50 yards from parking. Our dog was the only one there and enjoyed the small dog area. The several bowls of water was clean.

They returned my call

I left a message Monday morning inquiring about a bath for my Goldendoodle on Wednesday. Mid afternoon I got a call back with information that they were fully booked. I appreciated the call as most shops don't bother.
