Surfside Kitchen

This restaurant is so unique. Yes it offers the best brick oven pizzas, but there is so much more to this place. From breakfast to lunch and dinner, there is something for everyone. They have a great covered patio that is dog friendly and our waitress was so sweet to Basil. She offered her a water bowl immediately and kept checking on her to see if she needed refills. They also had a musician singing on the patio the night we were there. He had such a good voice! We enjoyed it so much! But without out a doubt the food was the best part! We actually ate here 3 times on our week long trip! That says it all. A must try when you’re in the area.

Stress free dog vacay!!!

I cannot write enough high praises for St Augustine Beach House. This is actually our second stay here. Five years ago we brought our old dog here for his first beach trip and we made such good memories. He crossed the rainbow bridge and we have a two year old basset hound that we wanted to make new memories with. This place instantly came to my husband’s mind and he surprised us with a trip. It’s directly on the beach, so no crossing the street and worrying about the pavement being too hot for your pup. We went in September also to help with the heat.

The whole staff is dog friendly and they make it so easy to travel with your dog. They give you dog towels and beach towels for you as well. They provide beach chairs and umbrellas. They have a very nice fenced dog run with good grass for your dog. And a great seating area for you to wait as your dog takes care of business. They also provide doggie bags for you to clean up.

Also when you check in, they give you a breakfast menu for the week for you to fill out and return. Then in the morning you can call or text that you’re ready for breakfast and they plate it and have it ready within ten minutes. So nice! Also, the other guests were just so friendly and we got to meet some really nice fellow dog owners. Our dog truly loved this place. She relaxed immediately and loved greeting everyone. Even though it’s dog friendly I never heard a lot of barking. It was very peaceful!

The hotel is also in walking distance from a few great dog friendly restaurants! Also in walking distance from a very nice Publix.
