Best Western Plus Kingston Hotel and Conference Center

The staff is friendly and welcoming, lobby is well kept, and breakfast and dinner offerings are nice and convenient. Unfortunately, the rooms and hallways are dark, dingy, and dirty, trash and broken furniture in the hallway, lots of litter outside including the grass areas where I would have liked to walk my dog. Dog friendly rooms are small with outdated fixtures. Luckily I found a better dog friendly hotel a few miles north for my return trip that offered dog friendly suites with full kitchenettes for only $20 more a night!

Perfect Stay

High Peaks Resort

Stayed in the main building while visiting for the total eclipse. Booked the pup package and there was a large dog bed, food and water bowl in the room when we arrived. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location is perfect, right on Main Street, able to walk to restaurants, shops, the Olympic center, and around Mirror Lake. The hotel restaurant has great food and drink options and offers room service. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable and have seating on the balcony or walk out to enjoy the gorgeous view. The entire resort is well maintained and there is plenty of free parking for guest. Understandably dogs are not allowed in the dining area because it is indoors but there are pet friendly restaurants nearby and lots of shops are also pet friendly.

Would stay here again

Residence Inn by Marriott Kingston

Stopped on our way north on I-87. Convenient location, good amount of grass area to walk dogs, large rooms. Quiet location. Even with upgrades being made to the hotel we didn’t hear anything. Nice breakfast offerings.
