We have stayed at three other Kimptons across the country (Florida, Louisiana, and Texas) and this one was by far the best. The entire vibe was friendly, welcoming, and just a place you want to hang out. The attention to detail, the customer service, the quality of care and finishings are mind boggling. The proximity to the Dog Beach is a key selling point for us. I couldn’t be happier!

Unfortunately, our stay was less than pleasant. We needed a place to sold the night as we were driving through. This place had decent reviews and was in a fun downtown location. The check-in was good, the room was pretty clean, and that’s where it started to go downhill. Guests a couple of doors down became rambunctious, loud, and disorderly around 10pm that evening. There was shouting, crying, cars coming and going, and overall an unsafe feeling during the night. Needless to say, we will not be back.

This was a treat! Right off the highway and very private. A nice place to spend the night.

The room was lovely, the bed divine. One of the best places we have stayed! So clean and beautiful!

Wow. What a place! Yummy food and fantastic views of the water from the picnic tables on the dock. Service was great and they were the most dog friendly. Highly recommend!

This was the best place! BringFido did us right! The picnic tables on the beach near the water were perfect. The food was divine. The service was outstanding. Seriously. So good!

Clean, peaceful, and so centrally located to an outdoor shopping center where we could walk our dog. This was our second time staying and it’s now our go-to in Lubbock.

The sign was out making the hotel difficult to find at night. The lights in the lobby outside entrance were out making it dark and dangerous with the curbs at night. The door to my room was open when we arrived. The floor was sticky in the bathroom. One window was broken and the other was open. Since the hotel is right off the freeway, the room is therefore quite loud. When I called to ask for a different room, they said none were available and did not try to do anything to resolve the issue. The tv wouldn’t work and the remote had tape over the batteries to keep them in. The bathroom desperately needs to be updated. The lights over the dining table won’t turn on. Needless to say, I won’t be back.
