Quick getaway

Cayucos Beach Inn

Book a king suite this time which was well worth the $15 more per night. Had a separate bedroom with king bed, TV and small closet. Had separate bathroom with tub/shower, toilet and sink with medicine cabinet and storage cabinet below sink. Outside bathroom is big vanity, sink, lots of counter space and big mirror. Counters are nice height for tall people. Living room had couch, table with chairs, tv, desk, counter with sink, microwave, refrigerator and storage. Floors were carpet. Room was clean and smelled clean. Outside front door was a little table with 2 chairs. Grass area for dogs, chairs and BBQ. Check in was quick and easy. Housekeeping was good and friendly. No elevator but only 2 floors and steps are easy. Sea Shanty restaurant is across the street and always great reasonable food. Also a little park across the street and beach access just past park. We found that this beach access is a little tricky at the bottom so we went left to the next access which is about 7 or 8 houses down and it was much easier. I would go for the King suite if it’s just 2 people but their 2 queen rooms and single king rooms are good size. Very quiet.

Little get away with Molly

Comfort Suites Palm Desert I-10

Made reservation on BringFido which was easy. Check-in was easy and they were very friendly to us and Molly. Had a room on 1st floor close to side exit where they had a really good size grass area. Only thing I didn’t see was a waste bag stand but we always carry our own bags. Room was king size bed with a couch and desk. Bathroom was a good size and had a nice height toilet instead of one where you feel you’re sitting on the floor. They had a pool and separate hot tub area. Breakfast was the standard waffle maker, scrambled eggs, sausage patties and bacon, cereal, bread, bagels, yogurt, juice, coffee and tea. Hotel is next to freeway, grocery store and restaurants. All in all it was a very nice stay.
