Wow, I so disagree with first review! I found this place very welcoming. There was PLENTY of grassy areas so dogs did not have to walk on paths if it did indeed hurt their paws. My rescues weren’t bothered by shells at all. Not much blooming this time of year but I very much enjoyed the African art exhibit that was dispersed throughout the gardens. I even met the artist and had a wonderful conversation. Short walk but definitely worth a visit.

Friendly staff, clean room, comfy beds. First floor room near pool and rear exit for dogs. No real area for them but a bit of grass helps. Free breakfast if you like that. Overall, a perfect stop on way to Florida.
