Mediocre Training

PETCO University District

We booked a basic puppy training class when we first got our dog. She was too old for the group puppy class and too young for the adult ones so we had to book private training. Scheduling times was very painful since you can’t reach the trainer via the phone and he wouldn’t respond to emails. We had to show up in person every time to schedule or reschedule. There was no proper plan on what the dog was going to learn. Every week we showed up and basically had to explain from scratch how it’s going and figure out what to teach her that week. The trainier couldn’t even remember her name, let alone anything we’d done the previous week. The lack of consistency or structure made it hard for us to make any progress. We ended up only taking 8 out of the 10 classes we paid for because it didn’t seem worth the effort of going in again and rescheduling, knowing she won’t learn much anyways. Idk if the group classes are any better, but as far as private training goes, I think there’s better ways to invest your money..

Great place to treat your pup!

The Seattle Barkery's Treat Shop

Their location in SLU is lovely. Apart from their baked goods, they also sell toys and accessories. We got our pup a pupcake and some other cookies and treats for her birthday and she devoured them. The staff was super friendly and gave her a free treat and a birthday hat when they heard it was her bday.
We also went to one of their pop ups and had a great experience there, too. Hopefully by the time our baby turns 2, she'll have enough furry friends to get one of their beautiful birthday cakes!

Best Dog-Friendly Weekend Getaway!

Hallmark Resort - Cannon Beach

Hands down the most thoughtfully crafted experience we‘ve had traveling with our dog. Piper was welcomed with a bag of treats, toys, and a water bottle, as well as a mention on their welcome board. The location and view of this place is unbeatable. The ocean views are spectacular, and it’s just a stone throw from the beach. The room is super cozy with a fireplace and balcony. Piper had an absolute blast running around the beach and then curling up in front of the figure place for a toasty nap. I don’t think I’ve ever had a happier dog!

Lovely Stay

Earthbox Inn & Spa

Earthbox is a great place to stay with your dog. They have a designated pet area, provide you with supplies like food and water bowls and offer an overall comfortable stay. San Juan in general is a great destination for a dog-friendly getaway!

Lovely Brunch Spot

Cafe Flora

This is one of our go-to brunch spots if we want to bring our dog. It’s located close to the Washington Arboretum, so we usually go for a walk first.

Their patio is dog-friendly and covered so you can enjoy it year round. They bring your dog water and the food is yummy (entirely veg in case you mind).

Dog-friendly Patio

Old Stove Brewing

Great location for some yummy food and solid beers. What makes this though is clearly the Pike Place Marlet location and its water views. You can bring your dog if you’re sitting outside. They’re not allowed indoors.

One of our Seattle favorites

Fremont Brewing Company

Great beers on tap, dog friendly inside and out. One of our favorite spots to hang out with our pup in Seattle. Plus, it’s close to Gasworks so it’s easy to combine with a walk.

Fun for locals and tourists alike

Seattle Center Monorail

All too often tourist attractions aren’t dog-friendly, especially rides. Not the monorail! You’re welcome to bring your pup on the Monorail and explore Seattle Center together on the other end.

Called Doggie Disneyland for a reason

Marymoor Park

This is the best dog park in the Seattle area. It’s huge, has lots of trails and different terrain. Dogs can run, play, fetch, swim, and are sure to get all their energy out. My dog is ecstatic every time we come here!

Incredible Spot!

Bar K St. Louis

We stopped here when passing through St Louis so Piper could play and get some energy out before we continue driving. Bar K was a win win since it also serves yummy lunch for people. Piper had the absolute best time playing here. Thanks to the park staff keeping an eye on the dogs, we could eat in peace and watch Piper play on the live screen. She was a tired and happy pup after!
