Good, quick stop while passing through!

We were on a roadtrip and needed a spot to walk our pups. We found this and it was great- super shaded and tons of trail options. Didn’t see any other dogs on a weekday and dogs didn’t overheat!

Must visit!

Gorgeous beach and was our favorite on the outer banks. Dogs were allowed all day- the reason we kept coming back. During less busy times, we let our well-trained pups off leash and no one seemed to mind, although posted to be on leash. Saw lots of crabs. Super fun day and very clean!

Beautiful and great quick stop!

This is postcard perfect! Loved stopping here. Dogs can walk around with you & you can make it quick or long.

Great to see, but be prepared!

This was an awesome spot to learn some history with your dog. Main thing is there is no shade and it’s pretty hot. We learned that you can drive up to each spot, get out, then drive to the next. I recommend that if you’re there during a hot day.

Fun spot!

This was a good spot to walk around and see cool things, despite not being able to enter buildings. Lots of walkable areas to look at. They do shoot off cannons occasionally which scared one of the pups- so be aware of that if you have a nervous pooch!

Awesome dog friendly beach!

We were so thankful to find this spot as the other beaches in the area were not pup friendly. The dogs loved it and we were able to be off leash as it was not busy. We were even able to see dolphins!

Short but scenic and perfect for the time!

We enjoyed this hike- we were looking for something less than 3 miles that had a good view, and this was perfect! Was fairly busy so I would say reactive dogs may need to pass on this one- hard to distance from others passing. But, we thoroughly enjoyed!

Great Fun in the Water!

This is a great little visit with pups. You can walk directly to the falls, but be prepared to walk through streams (knee high) and make sure your dog likes water! there is also an overlook trail if you want to climb instead and not get wet.

Our pup’s Favorite!

This trail is great. Dogs are allowed off leash as long as they respond to owner’s commands. We visited the trail twice on our trip we loved it so much.

Fun Tour!

We loved this spooky tour. Mike was awesome, a great story teller and knowledgeable about the area. The pictures he shows add to the experience. Highly recommend. We were the only dog in the tour, but everyone was welcoming and friendly. Easy walk with many stops for a break!
