We are seniors with our dog Ace. He is approaching being a senior.
We hike and walk with him daily.

Excellence

Loved staying as we passed thru. We loved it so much we planned our trip so we could stay there again on our way back home. Our large dog Ace was welcomed. Room was located for easy access to the outside. Surrounding area was lovely for a walk. Located right off I-26! Fab hot breakfast bar. Bonus: a Mexican restaurant was just a pass way connection.

Fab Retro Motel

Fab motel. Clean. Accommodating. Dog park! This cozy motel took my husband and I back to our childhood road trips. Our journey here started with booking a cottage which was disappointing and triggered my husband’s asthma with pungent cleaning odor. The decor was grandma meets hoarder.

NOW about this little jewel. It was clean tastefully decorated. Keep in mind this is a 1950s (I think) lodging size. If room size is important this probably would not be for you. It turns out to be perfect for us! Close to Acadia Nat’l Park. Must see Cadillac Mountain! Short drive to the harbor with its shops and restaurants. Again we did not hang out at the motel. It was mainly to rest from our busy day. It was perfect. Bonus was the dog park on the premises. We have now booked a 1950s restored motel in Boothbay Harbor. This has started a new requirement for our discovering parts of America and its nat’l parks.

Delicious breakfast with the pooch

This restaurant had no hesitation in seating us on the open air patio over looking the harbor.
Delicious omelette with farmer’s toast and Irish potatoes.
Coffee was delicious and bold.

Best dog friendly restaurant!

Valeria was so attentive to our dog Ace.
The food was fab. Delicious lobster bisque and New England Clam Chowder. Ace even licked the bowls.
This was our go to when we faced problems in a restaurant seating us on their patios.
Never here. Ace is a big dog and there was no problem or objection to his presence.

Pleasant Stay

Establishment was accommodating to our large dog. He settled in right from the beginning. He is a nervous dog in new settings. We enjoyed this hotel. It’s presented as an old establishment. The amenities are welcoming. Heated pool was pretty to look at but still too chilly to enjoy during our stay. The fire pit was more to our liking. The rooms have been updated beautifully. The shower experience was by far the best EVER! The water pressure blasts away any travel woes (TN). Shampoo cream rinse body wash is beautifully worked into the classy wall dispensers. Clean comfortable king bed. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again.
