Quiet location!
Hampton Inn BangorClose to downtown but in a nice quiet street. Sam’s Club is just down the road. Easy to walk the dog around the hotel and on the street. Just wish the dog fee of 75.00 was less.
Lovely Older Inn
The Lucerne InnDog friendly rooms are on the first floor with easy outdoor access and a very nice area to walk. The rooms are older but large. Our room had one queen bed. Nice touches: great shower with whirlpool tub, heated towel rack and a fireplace( not on this summer visit).
For travelers a downside is no fridge or microwave in the room. Room was clean and served us very well for our stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We were able to order dinner and eat outside comfortably with our dog nearby. Great stop if heading to Acadia or downeast.
Excellent Option!
Homewood Suites by Hilton GreenvilleVery clean, new hotel. I like the bedroom and living/kitchen area separated so only one of us has to wake up early with our dog! All staff greeted us warmly as well as our dog. The hotel is at a very busy intersection currently under construction. Get through it and this hotel sits down from the interstate for a bit more peaceful feeling. We did find walking away from the busy intersection a decent walking area. If time, there are some great trail systems in Greenville to explore. I would stay here again - clean rooms, safe location and nice staff are important to me. Free breakfast everyday and light dinner options during the work week were welcome extras!
