Depth is 1’ to 5’ across. 100 yards wide. Low gentle current most of the time. Yes the concrete boat launch is narrow and at times gets crazy busy with kayaks and fishing boats. Still the stream is clear and wonderful. There are a few other places to access the water too.

Dogs allowed sept 16 - March 31. Soooo no dogs at all in April, May, June, July, August and 1/2 of September. That’s 5 1/2 months. Useless.

The dog beach is fine enough if you can be here mid week and are not looking for waves. It faces the bay. Two very annoying features are that’s its sooo small compared to what it could be if so much beach wasn’t closed due to “nesting birds”. Then there is the horrendously small parking lot and local tax collectors patrolling the road’s shoulders for off road parkers. So on a Saturday we waited a hour to get into a lot and not one car left.
