We go to Hardberger park frequently. Had nice wide paved paths and many off-path trails that make it fun to walk or ride bikes in. People from all ages (children-teens-adults-elderly) walk, ride, skate, or bike in the park and people are considerate and courteous. Great for runners as well as slow walkers (even some older people walk in this park with walkers). Plenty of sitting areas (large rocks strategically placed or benches under shade trees). Beautifully designed park with lots of native flora, trees, wildlife and birds. Water-fountains for both people and pets.

Hardberger Park is a beautiful place to walk, with or without your dogs. They have special 'Bring your dog to the park' days, a lot of both paved and unpaved trails, water fountains for people and dogs, plenty of trash disposal areas...and one thing we like is this park has plenty of large rocks to stop and sit on, as well as well planned bench areas that are in the shade. (Not all other parks have as many sit or rest areas). It's easy to stay on the wide paved paths (passing or walking with other walkers, dog-walkers, skaters, or bikers). We see people of all ages from young children, teen athletes, runners, to elderly people, some even using walkers. But everyone is pleasant and courteous to others. Plenty of deer, birds, rock formations, native flora, and various other wildlife to watch. One great thing about the park is that you can easily walk from it to Blanco Barbeque:) The food there is delicious and they have outside patio areas for customers to eat barbeque while their well-mannered dogs, on leashes, rest from their walks in the park. We always take water, dog poop bags, and dog treats with us whenever we go walking...just in case a fountain isn't working, or the poop bag dispensers are out.
