We were on vacation in Tomahawk and stopped here on our drive home on a Thursday morning. Great little dog park that is well taken care of. My Berner loved running through the wooded portion and got plenty of sniffs. There weren’t many other dogs in the morning, in fact we had the whole park to ourselves until right before we left. There is access to water and poop bags.

Visited spring of 2024.
My berner had the time of his life! The large dog area was spacious and clean. The trails were perfect for him to run and explore. I knew he was safe and it was perfect for practicing off leash commands.
Lots of dogs use the park and he made so many friends. We met another Berner the same age and they were best friends immediately! On the trails he encountered an Australian Shepard and they immediately chased each other around a circle portion of the trail. All encounters were amazing with the exception of one. He was attacked by one dog while on the forested trail portion but that is the risk you take brining your pup to a dog park. Thankfully he was fine and the owner was able to call their dog back to them and they very responsibly put their dog back on leash and left the park.
We also enjoyed the trails outside of the off leash area. I couldn’t have enjoyed my day here more. After a few hours he was thoroughly worn out and muddy!

Perfect stop on our way to the UP. We walked the old growth trail. It’s a paved trail with historical information about logging in northern Michigan. The trail starts at the visitor center. Shaded by beautiful old growth pine trees this path was perfect for our Berner. He got lots of good sniffs, met lots of humans, and enjoyed the shade.

Stopped on our way through Wisconsin to stretch our legs! $5 parking fee, busy spot in the summer. It was beautiful and had a few spots you could approach the river. Several families and dogs were swimming in a section with calmer water. Lots of hammocks strung in the trees and people enjoying the beautiful day. Definitely a beautiful place to stop and our pup had a great time!
