Although the Hampton Inn Islandia is technically pet friendly, I won’t bring my pup back. We are Hilton members, and reserved a top floor room before we left so our pup wouldn’t hear people walking above us. They did not have the reservation when we arrived and gave us a second floor room. Then shortly after we arrived they called the room and said someone complained about our pup barking. She had not left our side and she had not barked once. They told my husband to go down and review the pet policy. The room is ok, but there is no space outside of the room that you can chill with your pet. No outdoor seating except a bench. And the only indoor seating is in the eating area and they said pets aren’t allowed. So I feel like we are walking on eggshells and rushing to get her in our room so as not to upset anyone. We previously stayed at the Home2 Suites in Brookhaven and that was much more pet friendly and welcoming.

This was our second time visiting the Port Jeff Brewing Company and they did not disappoint! Super friendly, great beer, great outdoor seating and location!

We saw the sign that they are dog friendly and gave it a try. They had a nice patio that has what looks like retractable glass. It was closed since it was chilly. They told us our pup was welcome to join us as long as she stayed on the ground. They had water bowls available for the pups and were very accommodating. And bonus for me was a delicious lobster roll!
