Caroline
Proud dog mama to a Brittany mix named Buddy. We love many things, but our favorites are hiking, burgers and beer.

Clean, quick, easy!
Lather. A Pet Bath HouseTook Buddy here for a nail trim and file. No wait, was done in 5 minutes, and he even got a free bandana! Same cost as a nail dremel at any of the big box pet stores and daycares but with much better service. Would recommend!
Great service with high quality food, toys and treats!
WagsburghWe came here for the first time to get Buddy fitted for a harness and keep coming back for the durable toys and the Fromm food. The store manager is very helpful if you have any questions about food or other supplies for your dog. Only challenge is parking — I’d suggest parking on the other side of the block if you don’t want to pay and think you’ll be more than 15 min.
Nice Trails, Trash Cans Abound
Belle Isle State ParkCute state park with nice trails! there are plenty of trash cans (an anomaly in state parks haha) so you don’t have to carry around/pack out dog waste. some of the trails are also horse trails, so my dog went a little crazy because he could smell the horses. If your dog is also like that, I’d recommend the boardwalk trails or any others where horses are clearly not allowed. Would also suggest bug spray. Lots of birds and river wildlife around!
Great for dogs AND humans!
NN BurgerNN Burger has a lovely outdoor patio with several filled water bowls around the perimeter. Their dog menu features a beef patty, a chicken breast, dog ice cream and a bag of treats. Buddy got the chicken breast. As a nice bonus, one of the employees brought him a few free treats — super sweet! The food kept him busy while the humans ate. Would recommend the smokehouse bacon blue and the NN classic cheeseburger. Also, in case this matters to you, you have to go inside to order at the counter and also pick up your food there. I am sure an employee could keep an eye on your dog while you’re doing that if you’re alone
Great Service, Very Pet Friendly!
Paddy's Irish PubAwesome pet friendly place right on the water. The staff not only accommodated dogs, but seemed excited to see them! My dog and I sat on the patio next to another couple with a dog. They bring out a water bowl for each dog, too.
Outdoor Seating!
Augie & Ray's Drive InPretty good place to eat with your dog if you’re in East Hartford. You order and pick up your food at the counter inside, but there’s an outdoor seating area where you can eat.
