My husband found Tropical Tails and we were not disappointed at all. This boutique style doggie daycare/boarding place is located in Bethany, OK. We drove a little over an hour and a half to check it out. Once we arrived with our lab, Milo, we were greeted by the owners, Gwen and Ryan, a sweet couple who you could tell put so much thought into the place. Gwen offered to take our dog Milo to the back play area where a few other dogs were and she gave us a tour. The entry area has a front desk and several shelves lined with doggie toys, treats and other fun accessories for your pup. There is also a shelf with specific bins that are labeled with your dog’s name for your dog leashes or personal items. There are also special themed boxes they make for your dog’s birthday or other occasions you celebrate with them. There is a self-serve wash and dry room for your dog and a separate seating room with coffee and fruit infused water for guests to wait. This room resembles a kitchen and this is where the dogs are fed daily. Dogs are usually fed in the kitchen when they are home so Gwen and her husband created this area to make dogs feel comfortable as items in this room may resemble things in their home. There is also a gated indoor play area for your pup and a really large turfed outdoor area for dogs to roam, equipped with a splash pad (great for summer) and several other toys. This was Milo’s first time at Tropical Tails for daycare and overnight boarding. They provided an “anxiety bed” for him and plush toys, I think it helped ease his stress. We knew Milo was in good hands, as Gwen and Ryan consistently updated us via text, with pictures and videos throughout the day. We will definitely be bringing Milo back for daycare and boarding at Tropical Tails.
