We have 2 friendly dogs, a golden retriever and a cairn terrier mix. We travel in RV and prefer state parks but stay other places. We are always looking for dog friendly trail walks.

Good location, some grass, lots of balls
My retriever needs to retrieve. This dog park is large, we went 3 times with mixed amount of dogs present. My golden got down to business, retrieving her ball, didn’t mix with other dogs. But most seemed friendly…owners and dogs. Parking is free, nice sidewalks in area to walk dogs on leash. Lovely restroom available at the Key West garden club West Martello facility, in parking area.

Way better then expected
I had read reviews of smelly seaweed, and expected less than clean soft sand. Turned out it was a small but pretty and clean beach. Nice to spend some time with my golden who loves water, very few dogs this morning. We were tempted to try bar, but it didn’t open until 11:30. Rain and wind were forecasted for rest of the day. We got out to the Higgs beach dog park first then this cute little beach. Cleaned up pup, then sat out rain and wind in our RV. Very nice doggie activity morning!
