After reading the recommendations here for The Thunderbird Inn I decided to stop over with my 2 pups between Myrtle Beach and Jacksonville to break up the trip & explore Savannah. From the minute we checked in & we're given big biscuit with a "I love The Thunderbird Inn" name tag, the moon pies and RC cola for us humans it was a great stay. Our pups were made to feel at home. This little kitschy motel has an area for potty supplied with poop bags, a water station & is fenced in. The place is so reasonable that the $50 one time dog fee doesn't even add up to what other motels charge. Although the bathroom is tiny the room was super comfortable & the AC worked great. Humans can go to the office and get donuts, coffee, fresh popcorn & coffee/tea any time of day. There's a big cookie jar with treats for the pups. Highly recommended.
