The St. George Island Inn has a great location. It is a short walk across the street to the lighthouse where there is public beach access. The public beach allows you to take dogs on the beach that are leashed and there are also restrooms right there. St. George Island Inn has a very small grass area, but they do have doggy bags station. It is a good place to walk your dog on the back streets. There is no elevator so your dog must be good with stairs. All hardwood floors inside or ceramic tile in the room.

We were there only for one night as we were passing through the area and were able to stay on the very top floor for a quarter plus hundred a night. The room has basic toiletries and good Kcup coffee pods, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a nice leather couch and chair in the living room. King bed was comfortable. No hairdryer in the room, but you can ask for one when checking in at the desk. Top floor extremely dark unless someone leaves an outside light on but because of turtle season, bring a flashlight. Would stay here again.
