This hotel has been completely remodeled, and it’s under new ownership, so they’re working on getting everything just right. We brought our pup for a two night stay, and the staff was amazing! We had wine at the fire pit the first night and sat on our balcony and watched the sunset over the river the second night. There were a few kinks with internet and TV for them to work out, but we were happy with the view, the room, and the fact we got to bring our pup.

We stopped in for a coffee and ended up with some focaccia, a brown butter cinnamon roll, and a savory croissant. All were amazing. We sat outside with our pup and had our snacks. It was a lovely place with excellent food.

We visited Fort George in August 2026. We have been before, but we didn’t eat outside either the pup.
The menu selection seemed more limited than before, and they were out of a lot of things on the menu when we visited. The food I did get was good, but it wasn’t my first choice.

Dogs are no longer allowed at this location. We have brought our dogs here before, and they were awesome. I still recommend them, but probably not if you want to bring your dogs. (This is a new rule. 8/9/26)

We are here in March of 2025, bringing our dog along. The food and service was excellent, and our dog hung out with us on the very nice patio.

We are out and about on a day trip with our dog, and it was nice to find that they were dog friendly and the food was good.
The food was mostly prepared there too. I had boneless wings, and they had a quality to them that you don’t get out of a frozen bag, so that’s what’s a plus for me.
Service was great as well!

The restaurant itself was great, but the patio was closed each time we visited in June of 2025.
I’m not sure if this location is actually doggy friendly.

Pet friendly on the patio!
Slightly different menu than other locations, which made it challenging for picky picky eaters, but the service and the food was good!

We were very happy with our visit in March 2025. We brought our pup out onto the patio, and the staff was accommodating and amazing!
The food was excellent too!

We love the Chowder Bowl, so we were excited to know the patio allows doggies. Before this visit, I wasn’t aware of a patio.
They brought my pup water and she was welcome!
