We ate at the Lazy Dog Restaurant when passing through Colorado Springs with our dog on our way to Deadwood. We ordered the Summer Market Salad and the Southern Fried Chicken Salad. Both were very good. I joined their Campfire Club before we went and got our choice of a free starter or dessert. We chose the cheese curds. Everything was very good. Would recommend Lazy Dog Restaurant whether or not traveling with a dog. Very nice patio area.

We were looking for a pet friendly place for breakfast while traveling through Iowa to Illinois. We found this place on the internet and liked the menu and was going to get take out. When we got there we found they actually had a patio area. We ordered inside and was given a pager to let us know when our order was ready. Before we could get in to pick up the order the owner was on his way out with it. We both had the breakfast burrito and it was very good. We definitely recommend stopping there especially if traveling with a dog.

The hotel was okay. The door on the side of the hotel that you could use to take your dog in and out had a box on it and you had to use your room key to get in, however, it was broken and there was tape on the door. Did not feel it was very safe as anyone could use that door to get into the hotel. There was only one cart to use to get your luggage in and out of your room. When we went to checkout the clerk was using it to haul garbage. When I went back out a few minutes later to get the cart it was being used by another customer. The clerk said they had two carts but one was broken.

The uniqueness alone makes it get five bones. Huge patio area.
