We have loved this dog park for awhile. It’s spacious and well-tended with plenty of parking and surrounding park space. During the warmer months, there is an easily accessible source of potable water. Recently, however, the land behind the dog park was acquired by a developer. They tore out all of the trees, and time at the dog park is now accompanied by the sounds of beeping construction equipment. Over the next five years, they intend to build a 34 acre housing development and the global headquarters of an insurance company. The dog park is still there, but it’s not the same.

Lots of room with both sunny and shady spots available. A water tap is accessible for filling bottles and water bowls.

Decent dog park with water, adequate fences and some equipment (tires, play structure, etc). I imagine it would be a decent choice on a hot, sunny day, since it’s shaded. Be aware, however, that this “dog park” is a large fenced area of AstroTurf under a bridge and immediately adjacent to the train tracks. It’s loud. The base of a billboard sits inside the “park.” No one else was there on a Saturday afternoon. If you need someplace to take your dog on a sweltering summer day, it’s not a bad place to go, but there are a number of nicer, free options in the metro area.
