My wife and I love dogs. We have a yellow Lab named Jake and a Bernese Mountain dog named Mack. They are polar opposites and the perfect pair. Jake loves people and going places. Mack does not like strangers and is a bit of a hermit.

Great food, pupper friendly
Fire FlyWe stopped here for lunch and it was the perfect spot. We had great food and service. They were wonderful to our dogs and brought them water. Would definitely recommend.
Soooo crowded
The Little FleetThis little place was very trendy and cute. An open air bar with several food trucks surrounding it. This place was however very pricy and way too crowded and busy for our nervous Berner. We had one drink and food and got out of there.
Perfect for 4-legged friends
Baymont by Wyndham BeulahThis hotel was nice. Our room was clean and they were very welcoming to our 2 giant dogs. There is a large grassy area in the back to let the dogs wander in, but we did wish it was fenced. The staff was pleasant and there was a hot continental breakfast. The hotel was a little outdated but not terrible. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.
Great Place, But Beware the Canon!
Mackinac IslandA great place to walk and check out the local shops. The scenery is beautiful and the people are nice. Some shops allow dogs, and even leave water bowls out front for them. I will warn you that every so often a canon at one of the forts is fired, which scared the heck out of the dogs. If you’re looking for somewhere to let the dogs run, turtle park is a good spot if it isn’t too crowded. There are also plenty of trails to get off the beaten path.
Great For Well Behaved Dogs
Starline Mackinac Island Ferry, Mackinaw City Dock #1My wife and I took our Bernese and our Lab on the boat to the island. Everyone was friendly. Dogs must be leashed. The first boat we took unfortunately didn’t have much space for our dogs. The boat we took back to the city had plenty of space for our tuckered out boys to stretch out and nap on the way back.
Fun atmosphere!
Art's TavernThis is a cute little restaurant. They welcomed us and our two giant dogs with open arms. Our food and service were excellent. We would definitely go back here!
Stepping back in time!
Cherry Bowl Drive-In TheatreThis little drive-in is like stepping back in time. It has an amazing selection of food, a play area for kids, mini golf, a pet area, and shows double features! It has the old-time radios but you can also tune in on your car’s radio. We came here because you can bring pets on leashes. The staff are amazing. They gave our doggies treats and jumped our car when it died. We would definitely go back. It’s great!
Great Brewery!
The Filling Station MicrobreweryWe came to Michigan on vacation with our two big dogs and got rained on (typical Michigan in the summer). We came to the Filling Station because it allowed dogs outside and there was an overhang to shelter us from the rain. They were amazing. The staff was polite and accommodating. It was a tad bit chilly outside, so a staff member drug two propane heaters to the table we selected and lit them for our convenience. They brought out a water bowl for our dogs. On top of that, the food was great, the beer was great, and the people there were just all around polite and fun to be around.
