We stayed here for one night while driving across the country. The hotel is conveniently located just off the freeway, with several restaurants and a Walmart within easy walking distance. We had a first-floor room with two queen beds, a medium-sized refrigerator, and plenty of space. The room was clean, comfortable, and plenty large enough for 2 adults and a big dog. The dog area is a nice grassy area right outside the side door and it is next to the smoking area, but I never saw any smokers. We even ate our dinner at the table out there after getting takeout from the pizza place right next to the hotel.

We stayed at the Big Texan for one night while driving through. The whole hotel is dig friendly and there’s no elevator to the second floor. I called a few days before our stay to request a first-floor room, and they were able to accommodate us. We had room 104 with two queen beds, along with a medium-sized fridge, a small table, a desk, and two chairs. The room and bathroom were both spacious, and everything was clean. We walked across the parking lot to have dinner at the Big Texan, of course, and it was nice that the whole place is dog friendly, even inside the restaurant. Just be careful behind the restaurant, though—they have some resident cats. We saw a bunch of kittens there in July.
