I can handle a unkept neighborhood, but not when lots of males full on partying out on front porch of bordered up houses(yes with a s). I was very uncomfortable as a female and small chihuahua walking past them, while heading on a trail into the woods. Nice lady in the neighborhood walked back with me.

Make sure you keep your dog close. My 7lb Chihuahua enjoyed rides in my backpack. The nice outdoor patio with full service restaurant is dog friendly.
