We did the Buck Mountain Trail at Silver Falls State Park. It's an 8 mile loop. Some elevation gain but not too rigorous. The trail is wide and well maintained. While the main parking lot for the more popular Ten Falls Trail was packed with hundreds of people, 5 minutes away, there were only 6 cars in the lot. And we came across about that many people on our whole hike. While we did see lots of horse poop on the trail, we never actually saw any horses on the trail. There are a few stream crossings, all with bridges. A nice pond by the first crossing just after turning right at the beginning of the loop if your dog likes water.
