I've stayed at Chapman dam numerous times and I've always had great experiences with my dogs. This campground and surrounding area has so many trails to explore with your dog on leash or off. If within the state park or campground your dog must be on a leash. Chapman dam State Park is encompassed by the massive Allegheny national Forest and borders a large state game lands where your dog is allowed off lead lands. Your dog can be off leash.
