Asher is an 8-year-old chi-spaniel mix with a big personality, a love of naps, and strong opinions about barking at cars. He'd rather have ear scratches than toys and believes every adventure should include snacks.

I'm rediscovering the joy of getting out and exploring after some health challenges, and Asher has become my little sidekick. Together, we're on the lookout for dog-friendly restaurants, easy walks, hidden gems, and places where both humans and pups feel welcome.

Outdoor Pizza

The outdoor covered patio was beautiful and breezy. There was open grass. Oh, and the food was amazing! They have lots of food choices, including stuff for vegans and a olive oil station. I have several food allergies and it's always difficult to go out to eat. Thanks to Bring Fido for helping us find this great pizza place.

A groomer my dog loves

ARF ARF! Kobi loves this groomer place! He runs to the door. It's a great departure from other local places that we've tried. Kobi hated groomers before here. Arf Arf owner is open and professional. She trains all her groomers be professional and gentle with the dogs. I won't ever take Kobi anywhere else.

Sonic - Doggy Sundae

There is a doggy sundae if you bring the dog, but it isn't listed on the menu. Just let them know that your best doggy friend is with you and they will bring a small vanilla soft serve with peanut butter on it. My pup loved it, but since it was so much we put in the freezer and he had it for a few days.

Very muddy ball park

This is an old ball field that can get very muddy. There is almost no shade. Most of the dogs are amazing but some are or can get aggressive. Small fenced in area for smaller dogs but it is mostly for the dog to use the bathroom. On the plus side, it is a good place for disabled people to take the dogs. There is a bench right inside the gate and it is a clear line of sight so you can always see your dogs

If only it was taken care of...

This could be a nice dog park but it is very small and not well taken care ot. The side for big dogs is up a hill that disabled people could not possibly climb. The side for small dogs is very small with No activities. Also, there are a lot of aggressive dogs. My sheltie has been attacked 3 different times. You are better off walking around the actual park or taking your dog to Southington dog park.
