It's a shame that in such a nice park there has to be unnecessary controversy and altercations. Went there last night for the first time and it started out great, but then it turned ugly. There was an aggressive, large light brown bulldog there with his stubborn owner, who brought him into the small dog area, and when that happened all the other dog owners picked up their small dogs and left the park. I was in the large dog area with my big Mastiff puppy having a great time playing with many other dogs. The owner then brought his aggressive bulldog into the large dog area even though he had the whole small dog area to himself. My dog and the others he was playing with casually walked over to the aggressive bulldog just to say hi and sniff him and the bulldog waits until my dog starting walking away and then promptly bit him on the hind leg. My girlfriend were only a few feet away and we quickly got our pup out of the way before he got bit again. The owner became unruly and started cursing and threatening me after we confronted him regarding why he would bring such an aggressive dog to the park. He told us that we should leave and never come back. He repeatedly asked me if I wanted to "settle this" outside the park. Although it was very tempting I decided to leave and not engage. Apparently he is a regular there and thinks he runs the park. Other people were leaving after seeing and hearing this incident. I really like the park but will not come back. There always seems to be that one owner who ruins it for everyone. Hopefully, people will see my review and be on the lookout for this belligerent owner and his aggressive bulldog.
