Old world charm

They made Henry feel very welcome. The 1928 hotel is in great shape and located right across the street from a big park which unfortunately is off limits to dogs even on leash. But there were many walking options. Also low dog fee -- $40 Canadian.

Perfectly fine

Hotel was fine. Dog friendly. Unfortunately like all new chains now it was in a non descript, uninteresting outskirts of town surrounded by fast food places and not much else. Not the fault of the hotel just the state of hotels now

A Treat for Both

We stay at a lot of hotels each year. The ones that accept dogs are usually quite nice but rarely luxury. Hotel Fauchere was a treat for us as well as Henry. A luxury boutique hotel with luxurious linens and fittings. A first rate restaurant both in the hotel and another in a companion property next door. The (included) breakfast was excellent. The staff was helpful and welcoming They clearly took pride in their operation. It was our last night of 9 day drive. It was the perfect place to celebrate our safe journey home.

Renovated

We stayed in 3 Hampton Inns back to back. All recently redone and very nice.
