Great Location & Value

We were looking for a place to stop to break up our trip from Key West back to Virginia, so we decided on St. Augustine for a couple nights. It allowed us to rest from the 9+ hour drive up from the Keys, plus gave us the opportunity to see Old St. Augustine. The Hampton Inn on I-95 is a great location with lots of free parking, near Starbucks and other restaurants, across the street from an outlet center, and a quick drive from the Old City Center. Breakfast is included and the staff are very pet friendly. There's plenty of green space nearby where you can take your dogs for a walk.

Major Service Issues

We chose the Kimpton Brice Hotel through BringFido because of its pet-friendly policy, and there are definitely some positives. The hotel is clean, attractive, and in a very convenient location in Savannah. The courtyard is a standout feature—quiet, tucked away, and a great place to relax. Our room was spacious and nicely designed, and we appreciated that dogs are welcome with no additional fee.

Unfortunately, there were some significant downsides. The bed was quite uncomfortable, with a noticeably uneven mattress that made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The biggest issue, though, was parking. We paid for parking as part of our reservation but the hotel did not honor it. We tried to resolve this with the front desk, but the staff was not helpful and came across as indifferent. When we called for assistance, we were routed to an off-site call center that couldn’t address the issue.

We are still trying to resolve the parking charge, but haven’t had success yet. Overall, while the property itself is appealing and very pet friendly, the service and unresolved billing issue left a poor impression. Given the number of other pet-friendly options in Savannah, we would likely choose to stay elsewhere next time.
