Since this was the first road trip with our pup it’s the first pup friendly hotel we have sought out. We really didn’t know what to expect. The employees were great. Our room and amenities not so much. As we first walked into our room, there was a strong smell of cat urine. The carpets were extremely dirty. There was mold/ mildew around the baseboard close to the window. It was also behind the toilet tank. The pool was not taken care of. The water was so green you couldn’t even see the second step from the top of the water. Needless to say we didn’t use it. (I have photos showing all of these complaints.) The best thing about the hotel was the employees and being able to access our room via the car garage on our room floor. Very easy to unpack car and repack car. As we travel more with our pup I’ll be able to make better comparisons about pet friendly hotel rooms. I sure hope this isn’t the norm.
