Kiva beach was a great experience! The beach and water had minimal rocks and was easy for getting in and out of the water. The sand can get really hot, so protection for their feet is recommended. We were there mid July.

Tahoe Paddle Sports is no longer able to offer dog-friendly kayak tours because the Nevada State Park closed down the location they visited on the tours because of an endangered plant.

I'm so glad we found this place! It’s right off the main street and has great draft beers. Dogs are allowed inside and they also have a great patio out back with lots of shade. Dog water bowls are also available.

Hangar has the best tap beers wefound during our time here and the picnic area for dogs is perfectly accommodating. We went when it wasn’t too busy though, so it was easy to find a spot. It’s mostly shaded with picnic tables you can move around and the ground is covered in wood chips. We still put a dog blanket down though. Everyone kept their dogs leashed and at their tables, which was great. The food trucks are also great.
