We drove by on our way into Acadia and we love meat so here we are. They have a dog menu and the story behind it is very sweet. Our dog loved Milo’s pulled turkey. I had to hand feed her so it lasted longer than 10 seconds. Highly recommend Mainely Meat for its food and atmosphere. It was the perfect late lunch after a day in the park.

They have part of their parking lot made into a patio that is dog-friendly. The food is very good and the staff is all very friendly. Order the queso fundido and a margarita. My favorite is the skinny margarita.

It’s mostly a small beach with picnic tables and a boathouse. You have to pay to park and the lot is not very big. And there are no dogs allowed on the beach.

Staying w our 67lb mutt for 4 nights was a breeze. Make sure you get a room facing the back of the hotel to reduce road noise. Nice staff, free hot breakfast and I could take my dog anywhere outside and inside as long as we didn’t go into the food area when the food was out. 6 minute drive to the Fogelsville Dog Park.
