Can't say enough good things!

This is the best pet-friendly hotel we've visited. Every room has it's own outdoor seating area, and the hotel is right across the street from a pet-friendly beach. There is a great network of hiking trails just steps away. Rooms are very clean and there's a complimentary continental breakfast as well. The manager Joe is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great advice on places to go with our pup.

Big portions and free ice water

Not only do they have a great menu, they have an ice and water dispenser available for your pup's water bowl. The sides are huge portions. The carrot and apple slaw is delicious. And our dog really enjoyed the cod from my fish sandwich - he probably would have eaten the whole thing if I had let him, lol.

Off night

We came here on our anniversary with our dog. We sat outside and they brought Colby a bowl of water. We decided to split a couple of appetizers and an entree, so we asked to have the appetizers first. Unfortunately all of the food came out at once, so we had our entree cold. I also asked for the chutney that was described in the menu for our shrimp entree, and the manager got kind of snippy with us. Other than that, we had a nice anniversary dinner. And our Colby really enjoyed the poutine.

Nice patio for dog families

We stopped here for lunch and enjoyed the dog friendly patio. One of the staff gave our dog a little biscuit and offered to bring a bowl of water. You will need to order food inside, so it could be a little tricky if you are a solo person with dogs. My turkey panini was really big, so I had plenty of turkey to share with my pup.

Very friendly staff

We came here with our 1 dog after making a 6:30 reservation. We were seated outside of the patio, which was fine because it was so busy. They immediately brought a water bowl for our Colby. We had a bunch of appetizers, so Colby enjoyed his first calamari and enjoyed it immensely. Can't say enough good things about the staff here. They were great!

Pup friendly roadside eatery

Great spot for a quick bit with your pup. Our Colby really loved the sweet potato fries. Be prepared to wait for about 20 minutes or more for your order.

We were lucky!

We were returning from New Hampshire and hit some thunderstorm activity on the way. We stopped in Lowell hoping to find someplace to eat with our dog before making the rest of the trip. Thankfully we came across a lovely young lady working here who offered to seat us outside, despite the other staff members saying no to us. The food and service were wonderful. The immediate area was a fun place for walking the dog before getting back in the car, too.

The staff here rocks!

We came here with our 11 year old 35 lb dog. Dogs are treated like special guests here, with their own menu. Our guy enjoyed the chicken, which we gave him in tiny bites while we had our lobster rolls. The staff really make this place special because of how attentive they are. Some passers by were spending a lot of time hanging around the dining tables and petting the dogs without asking. The hostess and waitesses did an awesome job deflecting these people very tactfully. We really appreciated that!

Great Spot for Two and Four Legged Diners

This roadside eatery is near two state parks as well as the Airline Trail, so we made a full day of it by taking our pooch for a nice long hike before stooping here for a late lunch. Picnic tables are spread apart for easy social distancing. The food is fantastic - a much higher quality than your typical roadside restaurant. They have vegan and and gluten free options that are really creative and tasty. Our dog Colby gives the hot dogs two paws up!

Nice lunch spot

We stopped here for lunch on our way back home. They have big overstuffed deli sandwiches, so we had plenty of deli meat to share with our pup. They also have local beers available for sale, which you can also enjoy at any of the outdoor tables.

Kayaking Adventures!

We took Colby to this state park last week for some kayaking fun, stopping for a dip at one of the landing beaches in the middle of the cove. Boat traffic in the cove areas is restricted to smallcraft and boats must be under 8 MPH so it was a nice easy ride. Dogs must be on leash even on the little islands to help protect the piping plover nesting areas.

Excellent social distancing for 2 and 4 legged diners

This outdoor eatery has plenty of picnic tables spread apart so you and your pup can enjoy a nice lunch or dinner. Their "fishwich" is the best fish sandwich around.

Busy and loud but fun

We stopped here for dinner after an afternoon at Compass Rose Beach. It was a beautiful Saturday night so naturally it was busy, but we got there early enough to get a table in the patio area. We had a series of appetizers and a salad, with enough little different flavored goodies to let our dog sample. He really liked the fried calamari tentacles and the bacon bits from our cob salad.
I can't stress enough that this place gets very loud. If your dog is sensitive to noise, this is probably not your ideal place.
Luckily our dog was already tired after swimming in the ocean so he wasn't that bothered by the ruckus. But given the choice next time, I would go elsewhere.

Doggie Bucket List

We take our dog swimming and boating all the time, but we've never taken him to the ocean. This beach was perfect to cross off that bucket list item. Despite being a beautiful Saturday afternoon, there were only about 20 people and a few dogs here. Our dog had a wonderful time swimming and basking in the sun on the sand. It was a great day!
