Lovely property tucked away off the main road with cute cottages, an amazing breakfast, an evening firepit (complete with all the fixings for Smores) and a supremely dog-friendly attitude. I'll definitely be back!

For me, the sign of a hotel that is truly friendly to it pet guests is one where housekeeping has done a thorough job and the pet doesn't finds bits of detritus that the cleaners missed. (If it's there, a dog will find it!)

I travel a lot and most hotels have terrific housekeepers. Usually, when something is missed, staff and managers are sincerely apologetic. Not at this hotel: When I reported that Kyri had found trash and bits of food on the floor, the manager was dismissive. I think he suspected me of planting it to get a rate discount.

Largely because of the manager's attitude (I also had non-pet issues that he refused to acknowledge), I would never stay at this hotel again and certainly wouldn't recommend it to fellow pet parents...or to anyone else.
