As a solo traveler, finding a spot that welcomes both me and my dog with open arms is a rare find—but this place is a total hidden gem. From the second we walked in, we felt like family.

• True Dog Hospitality: The owner is incredibly warm and genuinely loves dogs. My pup was treated like a VIP (Very Important Pooch!), which made me feel so much more at ease.
• The Vibes: The atmosphere is cozy, the sunset views are breathtaking, and even the other customers were friendly toward my dog.
• Dog-Approved Comfort: My dog loved it so much he was practically begging to stay "just a little bit longer" and even made sure to go over and "thank" the staff before we left!
Whether you’re traveling solo or with a pack, the top-tier food, drinks, and welcoming energy make this a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back for more sunsets and tasty treats (for both the human and the dog🐾🐾)

We had the most wonderful stay at the Book Village Inn! The space strikes a perfect balance between historic charm and modern comfort—thoughtfully restored with beautiful details that honor its roots while feeling fresh and cozy. One of the highlights? It’s pet-friendly, and they went above and beyond by leaving a special treat for my dog, which absolutely made our day. 🐾 On every shelf, around every corner… a book! We loved it!! It’s rare to find places that feel this welcoming to both humans and pets. The town of Hobart is an absolute treasure—charming, quiet, and filled with bookshops, character, and friendly faces. We loved every moment and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this inn for anyone looking for relaxation, charm, and a little literary magic.

I have traveled to 41 states with my pup and this is truly one of the best parks we have come across. Friendly people, lovely trails, super spacious and wonderful sunsets to add even more 😁 am usually very suspicious of most dog parks, but highly recommend the Outback at Shelby Farms Park!
