Great property to walk around

The Cottage at Glebefield

If you like historical properties, you will love the cottage at Glebefield! It really is a lovely place. My only complaint is that our stay was too short for us to explore all that the area has to offer. Our dogs enjoyed walking around the property, one of them caught the scent of something and was on the hunt. Bring a flashlight, once the sun goes down, it is VERY dark, and walking the pups at night can be tricky. The cottage is well managed, and well stocked. The bedding is high quality, and the towels are plush! If you are a taller person, remember, back in the day (1795) things were made smaller, so duck your head when going up the stairs. The swing on the front porch is an excellent way to unwind from all the site seeing. Peg & Jon (the hosts) are easy to reach if needed.

Very pet friendly

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hinesville - Fort Stewart

The hotel was nicely updated, the rooms have the laminate flooring, so it is easy to see if they are clean. The beds were comfortable. It was a bit noisy on the ground floor, but that is to be expected when you request to be by an exit door. Also there was an issue with the toilet. It would not stop running, so I had to keep the lid off and adjust the stopper every time we flushed. Other than that, we were pleased and would stay again.

4 1/2 bones

Sleep Inn & Suites Scranton Dunmore

The staff was very friendly, and helpful! The breakfast was decent, a large variety of items. The rooms were nicely updated, but the carpet could use an update. The grass was high, but that was understandable with the amount of rain. They made our stay pleasant! From Mechanicsburg, PA

My mid-day getaway

Runway Cafe

This is one of my favorite spots for lunch. It is so nice to grab my pup, sit outside and enjoy the planes as they take off and land. The staff is always very kind to my Scottie, with fresh water. The food is fresh and tasty.

Gorgeous Area, Excellent Stay!

Alice's Beach Bungalows 2BR

Susan was so easy to work with! It took us an extra 3 hours to get there with Traffic, so we were happy to see her waiting for us when we arrived. The house had everything we could possibly need. It was completely tiled which is wonderful when you are travelling with 4 Scotties that have big paws. The backyard was nicely manicured and gave the pups a place to run and enjoy themselves after being cooped up in the car for 12 hours. You do share the backyard with the apartment attached to the backyard, so be careful to check if anyone is in the backyard if you have rambunctious puppies like mine to avoid misunderstandings :). I loved the walk-in shower. The house is within walking distance of many great restaurants that have pet-friendly patios. The neighborhood has small quiet streets which are also great for walking your pups. Unfortunately, the beaches nearby are not pet-friendly, but Fort Desoto is about a 30-minute car ride from there. I would definitely go back next Christmas is she'd have us.
