Perfect traveling stop
Gold Key InnPicture an old style motor court from the olden days. Room doors open to the parking lot. One floor building in an L-shape. Over the years two more buildings of rooms have been added - both of these two stories. it was our last night of 14 on the road. We wanted clean, convenient, and cheap. We got it all plus helpful staff, redone restrooms, free continental breakfast, coffee pot in room. Table and chairs where we brought our supper in. We lacked for nothing and would stay there again when we’re just traveling through.
Best one on our 14-day road trip.
Hotel EstesThe details make the difference. It was clean, well located, large rooms, friendly staff, good pet areas. All the usual. Add to that - a multi plug between the beds for chargers. A real coffee cup for in room coffee pot - not styrofoam. Bed and Bath toiletries instead of cheaper No Name. Generous towels. Decent breakfast including boiled eggs and yogurt instead of only packaged carbs. Friendly, helpful staff. We’ve been in 10 hotels in the last 14 days and this was the best.
Everything good
Days Inn by Wyndham DalhartFriendly staff. Large, clean, well-appointed room. Clean and roomy pet area. We were just traveling through, but it was perfect
Basics covered
The Jackson Southtown MotelSmall room, but clean. No coffee pot or hair dryer in room, but you can get a dryer from the front desk. Neighbors looked a bit rough, but it was a quiet night at a reasonable time. Several dog areas were available, but evidently no one is picking up after their dogs. That’s not the motel's fault.
Great for passing through
Econo Lodge WallClean room. Vinyl floor - which is what I want in a pet friendly space. Breakfast in a bag - but did have an orange and water, not just processed bars. Second floor room which is harder with a dog, but I would stay here again.
Pretty setting
Arrowwood Resort at Cedar ShoreI prefer pet friendly rooms to be on first floor and have hard floors rather than carpet. Neither was true here, but lovely setting, walking trail nearby, clean room, friendly staff.
Good enough
Days Inn by Wyndham NormanWe were traveling through so didn’t need anything special. Clean room. Breakfast cancelled. Second floor room with no elevator. Carpet instead of hard surface. Good enough.
