Very Pet Friendly
Tracy's LoungeReally nice patio with lots of shade. Everyone was so welcoming to our fur baby. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Great place to relax with a cool drink and your pet.
Very dog friendly
Beef 'O' Brady'sNice large covered patio. Our server brought out a large dog bowl of cool water for the dog before we even got seated. There was a nice breeze blowing through the area which made it very comfortable even in 95 degree weather. Taffy received lots of attention which she always figures she is entitled to. We ordered chicken tenders from the kids menu for her, thinking it would be maybe 2 little tenders. When the server brought out the tenders, they were huge. She said she picked them out just for Taffy. I was pleased that they only had a very light breading so they were mostly chicken. My sister had the lettuce wraps and I had the steak quesadila. All the food was fantastic and the service was stellar. If we travel through New Smyrna again we will definitely stop.
Fantastic stay.
Southern Oaks InnGreat place to stay with your fur baby. Knowing we were bringing our dog they had a dog bed and bowls waiting in the room and it wasn't some flimsy cheap bed either. It was big and fluffy and where Taffy could be found whenever we were in the room. Then there is the dog park. Again, not just some little patch of grass to walk your dog but a huge grassy fenced in area that they can run in off leash. In the middle of the dog park is a covered pavilion where we relaxed while Taffy investigated the area. As for us humans, they furnish a fantastic full breakfast every morning, not just a simple continental breakfast like many places nowadays. As a bonus, its also within 5 to 10 minutes of all of the attractions. We will definitely be back.
Very informative.
Oldest Wooden School HouseInteresting piece of history right the middle of so many cute shops and restaurants.
Nice break from walking.
Scenic Cruise of St. AugustineTaffy wasn't too sure about getting on the boat but once we were on she settled down and seemed fascinated by the sites and sounds. We sat in the front on the lower deck since her arthritis makes climbing stairs difficult. After walking around in the sun all morning the cool breezes were so refreshing. You could see her enjoying it. By the end of the trip she was sleeping with her head on her paws.
Very Entertaining
Spanish Military Hospital MuseumWe were so happy to find an indoor activity that we could do with our elderly lab to get her out of the heat for a bit. They tour was so entertaining and informative and they were so accommodating to our old girl. Learning about the different tools they used in the medical field back then makes me really appreciate modern medicine lol.
Great Fun
A Ghostly EncounterThis is a nice tour, not too long nor too far for a pup. Our dog is elderly so I was very happy the pace was slow with plenty of rest stops.
Very dog friendly
Fountain of Youth Archaeological ParkTaffy loved the sites and sounds. She was fascinated by the peacocks everywhere. We were happy to see so many water stations all over te park for the dogs but Taffy's favorite was a little pond with a fountain that fogs are welcome to wade in while getting a cool drink from the spring. As for her human companions, we learned a lot about the settlement of te area and lore of the fountain.
Great place to bring your dog
Outriggers Bar & GrillNice to be able to relax with some good food, a nice drink and your best friend. Very dog friendly. Our server was fantastic. Brought our drinks along with water for the dog. Several other folks were also there with their fur babies so everyone, including the dogs were socializing. Large patio with plenty of seating overlooking the marina.
Very Dog Friendly
DebaucheryNice place to relax with your dog and a good drink. Dogs are allowed in the bar but we chose to sit on the patio and people watch.
Very Dog Friendly
The Burger PlaceOne of the few places with a covered patio that is dog friendly. Good burgers too. Right in the center of downtown which is a nice place to walk your dog.
Super Pet Friendly
Jacqueline's Bakery & CafeVery pet friendly. Brought a table and chairs outside along with a bowl of water for the dog. Nice location in downtown.
Great Fun
Fort Lauderdale Frenzy Scavenger HuntWe were looking for an activity that we could do with our dog while visiting relatives in Ft Lauderdale when we found this. It's a fun walk, taking you through the quaint little downtown area with lots of shops, galleries, and places to eat. Many of the establishments had water bowls out for the dogs. My lab is used to being out in public since we take her everywhere but my niece's chihuahua had a little trouble with the hustle and bustle of downtown. We took our time stopping along the way to enjoy a glass of wine and people watch. Unfortunately we didn't complete the hunt because the dogs were dog tired. We do want to do it again, without the fur babies because there were a lot of shops and galleries that we would like to explore but someone always had to stay outside with the woofers.
Very Dog Friendly
Lime Fresh MexicanNice large covered patio area with plenty of tables and lots of room for my dog to lay next to the table without getting in anyone's way. Pretty good food at a reasonable price.
Super Pet Friendly
La Quinta by Wyndham Plantation at SW 6th StLoved the nice big room, right on the ground floor near the back door for easy access to take the dog out. Plenty of grassy areas for walking and several doggie poop bag dispensers around in case you need them.
