Dog Tolerant, Great Location
Guy Harvey Resort on St Augustine BeachI am writing this purely for Dog Friendliness. We experienced rude check in, were told we didn't book a pet room and to come back in 4 hours. I produced my reservation and was told to come back. There is no designated business area for dogs, was told to find some grass. No dining option or happy hour as shown on the website (but COVID affected a lot of things). 4 hours later, wonderful new crew was on and extremely dog friendly. We were put on the 4th floor, carpeted room. We brought a blanket and sheet to cover the beds, all else was as expected. The location is great
Great Food, Great Service
Salt Life Food ShackFor humans, this was a great spot for lunch. For puppies....it may depend on the day/time. We visited on rainy Memorial Day. There are 4 hightop tables under cover and 8 picnic tables with umbrellas for pet seating. As I said, rainy, but more drizzling. So we chose a picnic table. Staff saw we had a dog, and that was the end of dog interaction. We brought our own treats and water, so no biggie that no water was provided. We were there about an hour. While the tables are first come first serve, it is almost a full body contact sport to get to a table. Again, rainy holiday weekend. Pick your times wisely and you and Fido will be set.
Happy Puppy, full belly
Hurricane Grill & WingsWe traveled with our puppy for the first time ever, we went looking for lunch at 2pm....Hurricane's was the PERFECT spot. Seating on the patio with a dog can be dicey, there are only 8 tables and lots of folks want them. Food was good, I was happy. The staff brought out a bo of water before serving us and the food was good. I can't complain....they worked hard.
