This is one of our favorite coffee shops. The place is freshly renovated and super nice for the upcoming 2026 summer season. Pups are still welcomed INSIDE!! Everyone is super friendly and gave our 2 dogs pup cups without having to ask. Coffee and other drinks are great too for the humans! They’ve also added some breakfast sandwiches and a few lunch options too with the renovation.

After reading some other reviews, I was concerned that our stay with our two dogs might be difficult. However, we had a wonderful experience and are already looking forward to returning with them. Our clean, pet-friendly room was located at the end of the hallway on the 5th floor, which was ideal since it was away from the elevators and heavy foot traffic—perfect for minimizing the occasional barking when the dogs heard loud noises in the hallway. The only downside was that it was a bit of a walk to the grassy pet area on the 2nd floor, especially in the mornings when our puppy urgently needed a potty break. We also enjoyed taking the dogs to the Great Hall, where we sat by the fireplaces and had drinks, and met several other pet owners with their dogs. The $250 pet fee is on the high side, but given the overall cost at Grove Park, it’s not unexpected.

The dog friendly patio off the bar is covered and has comfortable padded chairs. It is also easily accessible from the parking lot, so easy in and out with the dogs. The staff is always very friendly with our pups.

Lots of outdoor seating for having a beer and a bite to eat with your dog. Shaded patio, gravel area with picnic tables and grassy area are all dog friendly.

Our two dogs (Goldendoodle and Bichon) were more than welcomed here! Arrived and had two dog beds and sets of bowls waiting in our room. All the staff were very friendly and loved our dogs. There is a patio off the Quill bar that we took the pups down to and had drinks and snacks. Very convenient location to the National Mall, which is also dog friendly. Our new go to hotel in DC!
