Our dog had a good time

We are visiting the area and we came across this park, which is divided into 3 sections. small, medium and large. Took our boy to the medium section and he had a good time off leash. The 3 other dogs came to greet then went about their business. Pet parents did not make us feel unwelcome in any way. Many of the vehicles in the lot were from out of state as well. The park is large , clean, water is provided as well as doggie disposal bags and receptacles. We will be back again ....

Allows dogs

But nothing extraordinary, other than the fact that they allow dogs and have an area behind the hotel for dog use.. Room was clean and spacious. I would stay there again.

Impressed

This dog park is the best we have visited so far in our travels. It is clean, lots of room to run and has water fountains for both humans and dogs. The terrain is varied and includes a wooded area which our dog loved. Highly recommend when you are in the area.

Not dog friendly unless...

Went there for dinner and was seated at the picnic table with umbrella by the hostess stand at the entrance to the bar/dining area..but we did see a guy come out of the bar area with a little dog under his arm.I questioned the staff and they said he sneaks it in and not his first time , yet they don't confront him. Also one of the wait staff stopped by with her dog and waltzed right in. After reading one of the reviews below, I have to say that the info is false. There is no extended dog friendly seating inside during the summer and the second story outdoor seating is only for banquets. So the food was good but expensive and there will not be a view if you bring your dog.So in closing ,I will say unless you are a local who "sneaks" their dog in or waitstaff, expect to find only one picnic table to sit at.

Overall a good experience

Offered a tiny biscuit to our dog..no other offers.... we have been to other pet friendly hotels in new England and they have offered homemade local biscuits, dog bowls etc. The pet area was a bit of a walk, especially in the cold..
But, I have to say the room was clean and roomy , fridge and microwave included. The kids enjoyed the pool and we got away for a couple of nights. So all in all, it was a good experience..
