GREAT Stylish Welcoming Hotel!!!

Kimpton Journeyman Hotel an IHG Hotel

We LOVED our stay at the Journeyman hotel! Upon arrival, they wrote our dog’s name on a dog chalkboard and gave him complimentary treats! Also, a glass of wine for mom too! We felt very welcomed here. The rooms were clean and very stylish. No pool at this hotel, but they do have a fitness center. Our room did not smell at all if animals and there was a bite little dog statue and dog bowl inside. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was modern. No pet fee and any size dogs allowed! Everyone greeted us with a warm smile and made Bear feel like a celebrity!!! I’d highly recommend this hotel if staying in Milwaukee!

Get the Lake View!

Holiday Inn Express Munising-Lakeview an IHG Hotel

Check in was a long because the computer was down. They have designed pet relief areas and if you get a ground floor with a lake view, you have a nice little patio area, which was a nice surprise! Hotel could use some minor updates, but overall clean, nice room.

Expensive Pet Fee / Smelly Room

Residence Inn by Marriott Green Bay Downtown

The hotel downgraded my pre-paid room. I paid for a suite, 2 queen bed and we were out in a 1 queen studio. No apology and I had to request the price difference between rooms. The room smelled like animals upon walking in. I realized we were traveling with our dog too, but all the other pet friendly places we have stayed at did not smell. The closet smelled like dog urine. The hotel was already completely booked, so we couldn’t get a different room. They charge a ridiculous amount for a pet fee $100, but obviously they are not putting it up good use since our room smelled. They are also not enforcing pet owners to pick up after their dogs outside. I picked up after mine and noticed several other piles of poop and some weren’t even in the designated pet relief areas. Also, even worse about the room mix up - we were traveling with our daughter, which was why I requested two queen beds. Luckily the studio room had a sofa bed, we got this out for my daughter and found a used condom packet. So gross! The sofa mattress was also extremely thin and cheap. You could feel the springs of the sofa bed through it. Although the room layout was nice and modern, I would not recommend staying here.
