We have a German Shorthaired Pointer age 8 and awaiting a Service Dog for our son (age 13) by December 2021. We love all kinds of outdoor activities, hiking, fishing, hunting, foraging, kayaking/canoeing, bow and gun target shooting. But are getting a little more into comfort due to age and daily physical demands in our jobs.

Hocking Hills Frozen Yogurt Company

wasn’t very busy, pulled some chairs in the shaded area of the court yard, got the dog his own cup of vanilla frozen yoghurt to cool down

Very pet friendly

Holiday Inn Express Logan an IHG Hotel

They did not receive our information that we were bringing our 70lbs GSP but they did not have a problem with him whatsoever. Plenty of grassy areas and several access areas to take the dog out for regular breaks, right down the street is a BBQ place who allows dogs on patio, a lot of hiking trails to take dogs, outdoor seating options, even a little beach that is pet friendly only a few minutes away. All places require pets leashes (no longer than 6ft) and clean up after your pets. I believe if you are considerate and reasonable with your best friend this is an awesome area for a getaway. There’s a Walmart close by, so we got a Nylon chew bone and some raw hide to help keep him occupied when waiting around somewhere patiently. A/C breaks are incredible comfort on hot, humid summer days not just for us but for our pups too.
