This bookstore was super neat--it had a TON of stuff in a relatively small space. The owner was extremely kind, had treats on hand, and was also very considerate of greeting my Deaf dog in ways that wouldn't startle her. If I lived closer, I'd be here all the time.

I love the idea of a volunteer-run bookshop anyway, and this place was just super cool. It doesn't cater to dogs necessarily, but dogs are allowed inside.

Eat My Words had so many used books that I'd never have expected to find, including lots of old and vintage books. Prices were low--even for the vintage books. Dogs are allowed inside, and staff were both excited to meet my senior dog and respectful of her space.

My dog loved this park! There were so many little spots along the (paved) trail where she could go down to the water and swim. The water was clean and clear, and she had a blast.

Beautiful scenery and calm water for paddling and swimming with lots of put-in spots. There are motorized boats out in the deeper parts of the lake, but the no wake area is large enough to paddle around in without being affected.

The state park itself is 5 stars—so beautiful and with really nice maps and infographics. Only 4 bones though because the swim beaches don’t allow dogs and neither do the visitors centers. It’s not surprising, but it did make it difficult to check out everything. Dogs can swim at the headwaters though!

Sebastian Joe’s has both coffee and ice cream. The patio is very nice with plenty of room and plenty of tables. Dogs are allowed both inside the shop and on the patio, which makes ordering very easy.

We love this place! The sandwiches and coffee is really good, and the baristas love dogs and always have treats on hand.

Dreamstate Café had an excellent menu of vegetarian brunch options. Their outdoor patio had plenty of seating and plenty of shade and water bowls for dogs. Highly recommend!

A lovely bookstore, lots of great selections (including by local and indigenous authors), and super friendly folks on staff who gave our dogs lots of love (and treats). A pleasure to visit!
