Pleasantly Surprised

Baymont Inn & Suites by Wyndham

We stayed for one night with our beagle and we were pleasantly surprised! The town is very small without the big chain hotels so we were skeptical but the price was great. The room was very spacious and clean, could do a better job at dusting but everything else was very clean. The shower was nice too, better than I expected. They had us near the exit steps which was great for my dog but the only con is there’s not a lot of grass outside. There’s a part in the back that has grass but it’s just a little inconvenient to walk all the way around to the back. The front desk employee did let us know there’s a dog park up the road. Other than that, for the price it was definitely worth it. We were comfortable and satisfied with our stay!

Good For One Night

Extended Stay America Suites Amarillo West

Stayed for one night with our beagle, location close to everything. Room was pretty clean (a little outdated) and spacious for our dog, also little grassy spot out the exit staircase that was perfect for her. The bed was not that comfortable, my husband could feel a spring in his back all night. It was a good stay for one night, but I would look for another place!

Love The Decor!

The Sage Hotel

We were passing through on our way to CA and decided to stay here with our beagle. The rooms were smaller but the decor and furniture were so cute and stylish. It was very clean as well. Some cons: the A/C was not strong at all and was also super loud, there’s a dog park behind the hotel so it’s a little inconvenient if your dog needs to go ASAP but the park is very nice and grassy, and also the hotel restaurant was closed (understandably). We also used the washer/dryer and it could’ve been a little cleaner in there, but they had two sets. The dryer was SO hot on normal heat so beware lol. All in all, the room was just what we needed and our dog was comfortable, would recommend!

Nice Location!

Drury Plaza Hotel St Louis at the Arch

Right across the street from Gateway Arch National Park, extremely friendly employees, room was clean and spacious. They still had hot breakfast but they serve it to you like a buffet, great selection and the woman who made ours was SO cute and friendly. Some cons- THE TINY PARKING GARAGE not fun, also love the park across the street for my dog but getting her from the 7th floor all the way there was an adventure. Also the elevators were taking forever so we ended up using the stairs which was inconvenient and a little dirty. All in all, we had a nice stay here but would probably pick another place that was more convenient for my dog!

Would Recommend!

The Hayes Street Hotel Nashville

LOVED this hotel! Updated modern rooms, little grass/dog area out front (at the entrance), close to downtown Nashville and in walking distance to the city. My favorite part was how clean our room was. I’m a germaphobe but this one was super clean. Sheets and towels were clean as well. Two cons- the parking is in a parking garage that is $10 a day, and the steps to get from your parking garage level back inside to the hotel are kind of dirty and the second (not really a con) is they don’t have a hot breakfast cause of Covid, they still provide bagged breakfasts (muffin, OJ and an apple), which we really appreciated! All in all this was a great stay for us and my ten year old beagle was very comfortable and happy!!

Fleas?

Country Inn & Suites Asheville River Arts District

Right off the bat, the parking lot is kind of behind the building so you have a little walk to get to the main entrance. Not convenient if you have multiple bags and a dog. Front desk was friendly, elevator was slow due to Covid-19 procedures (only 2 ppl at a time). Our room smelled a little weird when walking in but could get past it. I had my beagle with me so I go to give her water and notice a flea on her leg! (She hasn’t had fleas in years). I thought it was just my eyes playing tricks on me but then I noticed three more on her foot and stomach. We tried to switch rooms but there were none available. The front desk was very apologetic and refunded us $30 back, it’s just a shame that my dog was exposed to this. Thankfully she has flea medication she is on and there were none in our bed. We think maybe she got some on her from the elevator (which had a very dirty carpet) so just beware! Other than that, the room could be cleaner, bathroom is small and the shower has a half door. Despite the fleas, not the worst stay but I would look elsewhere if you have a dog just to be safe.
