Really nice stay
Hampton Inn & Suites Page Lake PowellI only stayed here one night but I had a great experience. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, the staff was nice, and the breakfast was fantastic!! My only problem was the place for my dog to do his business was all rocks and he has very dainty feet. He can’t walk on the rocks. We crossed the parking lot and went to a grassy spot so not a big deal. I would stay here again!
Overall very nice
Bobcat InnThis place is really cute and great for dogs. Here are my pros and cons. Pros: beautiful sunsets, walkable, (there is a dirt road to walk the dog), 10-15 minutes away from the Plaza area, comfy bed, decent breakfast, fenced courtyard, very friendly hosts. Cons: breakfast was basically the same both mornings - heavy egg dish and potatoes. Needs more variety. Windy night resulted in noisy sounds at night, serious bee problem but they didn’t bother us during my stay. Area on property to let dog go potty includes cactus and a basically unfriendly environment for paws. I would stay here again.
Good and bad
La Plazuela at La FondaThe tables available are around the perimeter of the dining room, which was fine but the leaves is in the hallway and people are walking by and I had to make sure my guy wasn’t in the way.
Service was bad. I waited forever for server to take payment and finally asked hostess to take it. Queso was bad. Thick cheese and thick stale chips - for $14! Posole and Chile rellenos Christmas style were amazing! However, for the cost of that lunch, it was not worth it.
Very dog friendly, good chocolate
Kakawa Chocolate Housethey were very happy to have me and my dog come in. chocolate was very good and they have a nice area inside and outside to sit with dog.
It was ok
My Place Hotel - Colorado Springs COThere wasn't much room to walk the dog and the grassy area was right off the main street. Not the quietest hotel either. I ordered breakfast and I never got it. But it was clean and they were very friendly.
One of the nicer Best Westerns
The Riverside Hotel BW Premier CollectionSo I stayed at this hotel twice. Once on the way up to Oregon and then on the way back. Here are my pros/cons: Upon checking in, there was a problem with my credit card on their end and they said they would take care of it, and they did. But there was a problem with the rate charged and they fixed that right away too. It was a beautiful property and had a great vibe. The Riverwalk is so perfect if you have a dog, but exiting out of the hotel, turn left not right. Right is a much better walk.
I did have a problem with the lawn. We stayed in the rooms that are right off of the Riverwalk with a river view and the grass was really wet, actually muddy in places. That night, the sprinklers went on and then it was that much wetter! I mentioned that at check out but upon check in the following week, it was still a quagmire! The rooms were clean! And my dog loved having his own little loveseat in the room. LOL. I put a blanket on it, don't worry!
The first night we went to the outdoor restaurant and I wrote a review about that under the restaurant, but the restaurant inside isn't under BringFido so I'll tell you about that.First, it is more than awesome that my dog was allowed to go everywhere in the hotel except the main indoor restaurant, but he was allowed to go in the bar area. That night they had live music and he was able to lay on the carpet and make himself at home. However, the service was HORRENDOUS!!! The bartender completely forgot about us and wouldn't stop talking to another patron so I couldn't even get her attention. Finally, we ordered and they were out of White wine Sangria but she made me a Red wine Sangria and it was alright. The food was absolutely amazing! I think the best dinner of my whole trip. I had the butternut squash gnochi and my sister had the trout. SO good!!! The bartender/waitress did pay more attention to us later but when you're starving, it doesn't matter.
All in all, this was a great place to stay! Highly recommend and my dog loved it too. I could tell he was very happy to be back. That's what matters, right?
Went 2x!
Mo's Seafood & ChowderWe went the first night in town when it was a little chilly. They have a heater on the patio and a great view of the Promenade. Clam chowder was good. the next day we got food to go and took it down to the beach. Best fish tacos!!!
Really nice spot
Bunkhouse RestaurantWe stopped in for breakfast and sat on the front porch. Cute little place and food was really good.
Great patio
Driftwood Restaurant & LoungeWe went for lunch and they were able to get us in right away. the service was excellent and the food was pretty good. great patio!
Hip spot
The Sandbar Patio Bar & GrillThis is a nice little place with live music. we had to sit at a high top table which isn’t the best with a dog. food was okay. atmosphere right by the pool and off of the river are the highlights.
Great!
Cannon Beach Hardware & Public HouseFood was excellent, though pricey. A nice place to sit and it was only a block from the beach.
Stayed at much better
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Portland BeavertonThey were not very friendly and gave me a bowl for food/water that had obviously been used before. Room was small and very expensive for the square footage. Breakfast was kinda gross. Won’t be back.
Beautiful in the Fall
Fort Collins / Lakeside KOAThis place has pet-friendly cabins and is fenced in so I don't worry about any wild animals. There is a nice lake with a trail that goes all the way around it and in the Fall, the colors are fantastic. They have a little fenced-in area for the dogs to run off leash. They did get new owners recently and they haven't been watering the lawn so it's not as green and pretty as it used to be. But we still love it here. We have stayed in our tent here, too. Really quiet and safe.
Easy Peasy
Holiday Inn Steamboat Springs an IHG HotelWe called around 8 pm to find a last-minute room that took big dogs. The lady on the phone told us, "no problem." We checked in and my dog loved his first ever hotel stay. He was strutting down the hallway like he owned the place. The had a nice grassy area to go poop but it was a little daunting so late at night when I know there could be bears, so we made it quick. We couldn't really take advantage of the breakfast because of Covid-19 but we just needed a nice quiet place to stay and this place worked great!
