My husband and I are young with no kids, except of course for our 8-year-old female Great Dane Joey. We found her at a rescue in Wisconsin, where she was rescued from a puppy mill breeding life. She is extremely chill for a rescue, but typical of an old dane, and we are always on the lookout for opportunities to socialize her.

Beautiful patio and upscale food
I haven't brought my dog yet cause he isn't ready to meet other dogs in public on leash in this setting but I've seen others with their dogs on the patio and they were seated on a special section of the outside patio that's on turf and they have dog bowls out and the owner even came out to greet them and their pooch. 100% would bring my doggo if I were more confident he wouldn't cause a scene. Lovely place.

Short and sweet
This trail is maybe 2.5 miles long but it has some creek access which is nice on a hot day. It is well shaded.

Restaurant no longer at this location
The Dragonfly Cafe was sold and another restaurant is there now. No idea whether theyre dog-friendly but I doubt it.

Sidewalk seating for pooch
My Great Dane was a bit in the way since she was sprawled out on the sidewalk, but patrons and pedestrians didn't seem to mind. Lots of pats for Joey! They provided water for her. There is no table service, however, so you'll have to send someone inside to order for you, or tie your doggo outside while you order.

Ghost town
I'm surprised to see the description of this village, as it appeared to me more like a ghost town! Nothing was open except one store and no one was around except another couple who was as confused as we were.
