Be careful!
Kaaterskill FallsIf you take the upper/shorter trail with your dog, you will be fine and get to a small observation deck at the top of the waterfall.
If you take the longer trail to the bottom of the waterfall you will eventually reach some very steep steps. We turned around! But still a nice walk.
Maybe depends on hostess?
Alaska Pete'sI had been here before and they were dog friendly but maybe we got a new hostess that was not as friendly. She was quick to let us know we could not be seated near anyone, and my dog could not bark. We were seated at a table in the back next to the air conditioning unit. Our waitress was friendly, brought my dog water. My dog barked once and I panicked that we might get yelled at. Was not as comfortable as the last time I visited.
Awesome beer, dog friendly staff!
Log Tavern BrewingWas looking for a dog friendly place and was SO happy to find Log Tavern. The staff was so kind and let us bring our dog inside to pick our beers. The beers were fantastic, and we were able to sit outside with my dog. I would love to go back one day!
Beautiful walk!
Napatree Point Conservation AreaTook our dog here in October. Not a lot of people, was able to take her off leash. Really pretty!
Lots of unleashed dogs
Mills ReservationThis is a great place to take your dog for a walk, however LOTS of unleashed dogs. My dog does not like to be approached by a dog running up to her and the owners of 3 different dogs just let them run up to her (even after I let them know). There are different colored trails. Take a picture of the map with your phone so you can follow one. Great view of the city, couple of steep cliffs so be careful!
